It’s happened to all of us during the warmer months: wanting flawless hair in the morning and yet, not wanting to stand with (or under) a dryer to get our best hair.

Well, what if we could get out of bed and out the door with wet hair and have it styled in such a way... it just looks good. Even when it dries?

It may sound impossible, but it is in fact, probable! Read on to see the tips and tricks to get the perfect 'wet to dry' hairstyle.

Classic Go To: Bun

For starters, products are the most important choice when it comes to setting up a style. Leave-in conditioners are a huge no-no, unless your hair is lacking moisture.

Instead, enhance your natural texture with a beach spray, and twist into a top bun, using a bobby pin instead of a tie to avoid making a line.  If you plan to use a bun sock or styler, we'd suggest waiting until your hair is barely dry before use.

Braid Wet Hair to Get Waves Galore

Now we can have some fun as different braids create different finishing styles. A french braid will give you all-over waves, whereas cornrows will give you tight curls, and tying a loose, low braid will give you beach waves!

For extra shine with whatever braid you decide, add a leave-in oil prior to braiding to keep hair smooth, nourished and shiny.

Hone Your Inner Space Princess With Dual Buns

This one’s a super easy variation of the original bun concept. Simply part your hair down the middle and twist your hair the opposite direction from a center part. You can place them high on your head to rock a chic variation of pigtails with some hair ties, or more towards the center of your head for a sophisticated Princess Leia look.

Pony Up With a Ponytail

A classic, but a slightly messy ponytail can give this tried and true hair style a mature upgrade.  Follow the standard method by pulling all your hair back into a low ponytail, and then secure with a scrunchie or Invisibobble so you don’t receive a crease.

Then, take uneven sections of your hair and secure with a Waver, or bobby pins. Set with a strong hold spray and you’re good to go!

Rock Long Lasting Curls With a Twist Out

A twist out is an awesome natural hairstyle that can be done as loose or as tight as you’d like to create waves, curls, or cute little ringlets. The key is to start with freshly washed hair (or if your hair is already clean, making it damp), and to regularly apply oil or a holding product to the twists.

After you’ve created the twists, let them sit and set for a while before taking them down. This can be the next day, or the end of the week since this style can be left intact even for professional settings. When you do unravel them, go slowly. Practice different ways to twist out your hair and you’ll be an expert in no time at all!

However way you style your hair, we hope these tips are super helpful in the warmer months to seize the day without the heat!
