Ouch
2I loved my last Sedu flat iron. So much so that when it stopped working, I replaced it with what I thought was the same model. Unfortunately it had been redesigned I guess and it was painful to use. Literally the plastic "gripper" things on the handle hurt my hand when pressing the iron on my hair. I returned this one and bought a Sedu Revolution instead.

LOVE MY SEDU!
5I purchased the SEDU back in 2007 and it still to this day 1/16/16 has not let me down (9 years and still going strong!!) I am fixing to purchase another one, just to have on stand by, I have very thick, curly, course hair and this flat iron works miracles. I will not use any other flat iron, well worth the money. If I could rate it 10 stars, I would!! ;)

Not the same as it used to be!!!!
1I purchased the ORIGINAL ceramic ionic sedu 1 inch in 2006 and its lasted me 8 years! I previously purchased it on folica and when I came on this site I was sad that they didn't sell the 1 inch anymore. However, I saw that they had the 1 1/2 inch one (well, what I thought to be just like the old model) on the site and when I received it, I was DISAPPOINTED!! Every time I ran the straighter through, it felt like it was tugging on my hair! Not only that, my hair felt damaged almost instantly. It's NOT the same as it used to be and I have no clue what they did or why they changed what they used to have. I swore by this brand and now I am sad to say that I will NOT be purchasing another sedu. Please bring back the old ceramic ionic model in 1 inch!!! This straightener is completely different, cheap and worthless!!!!!

does leave hair silky
3The size is perfect and does leave your hair silky as other users reported. My hair is fine and this straightener does cover the dry coarse ends that i have at the tips from my prior straightener. Only dislike is the heat transmits through plates. Never had that problem with my chi!

In love!
5I got a great deal in this iron so I really wasn't sure how great it was going to be. When I received it I was ready to be disappointed. It was so small and look like it would never get through my long thick frizzy hair. I was so wrong. A few swipes an I'm done. Perfection. I was using an old iron I bought in 2011 that was big heavy just all round bulky. I thought I needed that for it to work on my hair. I'm so thrilled to be able to retire the old heavy piece of machinery and use this. It's the best!

Nothing works better on my hair!

I have been cursed with this naturally curly thick hair all my life and it has been a life long struggle. I finally found the "Sedu" flat iron. As all of you know the hair is always the finishing touch to walk out that door with confidence. This amazing flat iron never disappoints, I can finally walk out that door smiling, knowing that I look my best.

Better than anticipated
5Honestly this Sedu flatiron is great! I was a bit hesitant to buy it, because the last flatiron I had was able to get to a higher hear setting, but to be honest with this flatiron I use it in the lowest heat setting and it straightens my hair as though it were hotter. My hair comes out smooth and shiny! The only thing I would have to say is, that being a curly haired girl, if you want to get all the tiny baby hairs and edges perfectly straight I would get a mini flatiron because this 1 1/2 is pretty big, which is great for faster straightening, but you could burn yourself if you're not careful when using it for the very edges. Overall, I am satisfied with my purchase!
