Failing after a month

I've had this flat iron for less than a month, the digital display is already missing digits.

Breaking up is hard to do
5After 8 long wonderful years with my Solia Flat Iron (blue plated ceramic 1 3/4"), the cord snapped and the iron was on life support and could flat line at any moment. I chose the Solia SuperHot based on the reviews and by others who had previously owned the blue plated version. The biggest difference to me is that the SuperHot is much lighter weight since it is titanium and not ceramic and a half an inch smaller. I do love that it heats up super fast and the digital display alerting you when the iron has reached the desired temperature is also a plus. The auto shut off is a nice feature as well. While I can not say I can straighten with a "one pass", this iron will do the job and in a timely manner. I have naturally curly/wavy/thick hair that is shoulder length. I can straighten in about 10 to 12 minutes. My hair is smooth and stays straight all day. As with use of any hot hair tool, over use will lead to drying, splits ends etc. Overall this is a great product and excellent affordable replacement for my "old blue". Also as a side note, there is Solia Ceramic that is available. I had researched and it seemed that titanium plates were a better option for optimal healthy hair. I am hoping for another wonderful 8+ years.

I purchased the Solia Super Hot 11/4 Professional Flat Iron because my Sedu was on it's last leg.
The results I have gotten with my new iron is amazing. I do not take as long to do my hair. Ever since I started using the Solia I have gotten so many compliments. It leaves my hair smooth and soft. I love it!!!!

Superhot is super awesome!
5This flat iron is even better than I expected! I used to have the Solia with the blue plates, I loved it, but after 5 years it died(which is far longer than any other flat iron I've ever owned). I knew I wanted to stick with Solia and I liked the idea of the titanium plates. This thing is great! I have thick, dry, wavy hair and I used this flat iron on the 420* setting and it straightened my hair in just one swipe per section! I like being able to adjust the heat setting and the grip is very comfortable while using it. You will love this!

Amazing
5I just received my Solia Straightener. I did tons of research comparing this to its competition and I decided to go for it. I absolutely love this straightener. It glides through my hair easily and makes it look perfectly straight. I highly recommend this product!

Excellent Flat Iron
5I have had a Solia Ceramic flat iron for 5+ years and it was getting to the end of its life so I tried this Solia Titanium iron after I read good things about it. It heats up super quickly and I love the auto shut off feature. The Titanium iron is supposed to be faster and straighten in "one pass" and while it definitely does a better job than my ceramic iron, it still isn't done in just one pass. I haven't tried the highest heat setting yet, which would probably make a difference, but my my hair isn't super coarse or curly. I've used between 300 and 360 and it seems to work well for me. It's also great for making waves/curled. I love the digital display, speed of heat up, and soft touch grip. I wish it came with a storage case. Overall very please with this product and happy with the longevity I've gotten from my Solia products!

perfect upgrade
5I've used a Solia flat iron for nearly 10 years, I've loved it from the start and would replace with the same model whenever it was necessary, always a great price and excellent performance on my thick wavy hair. this model was an upgrade for me and I'm extremely pleased! it heats up very fast and straightens my hair fast and leaves a nice finish from root to end. it's light weight and the digital temperature indicator/adjustment is ultra convenient. I absolutely love it!

I owed a Chi for about 7 years until the cord broke and I bought an i.chi and have been using that for about 4 years now. Well, it finally quit and I ordered this one based on the reviews.. So glad I did! I have thin, wavy hair that gets so freezy, it looks like I have really thick hair in the South GA humidity .. So I need a hot flat iron to keep it straight. This flat iron does it! Something you use everyday, I believe, should be good quality and do what you are looking for.. Just a bonus with this product, it takes half the work! Now, it takes me half the time to do my hair and the results are incredible! Never have used the titanium plates, but i feel they work better than the ceramic, on my hair anyway.
Thank you for a great product and offering a great sale on this brand also! If this one breaks, will be hard to go with a different brand! Home run!!

BEST Straightener EVER!!!
5I got this straightener as a gift of Christmas and it's the best SOLIA I've ever had! I have thick, course, wavy, frizzy hair and this straighter get my hair super straight FAST! I love that it heats up quickly and stays hot the whole time I'm using it.

Gave one as a gift to a friend, she loved it
5She likes it because the iron heats up within seconds when you turn it on. Really easy to navigate the buttons and it's very intuitive. So far, the holding power seems to be pretty good and she's happy with it.
