The Ordinary’s Retinol Serum 0.2% in Squalane is a water-free, multi-purpose solution formulated to reduce the appearance of pores, dark spots and fine lines, and improve the overall appearance of skin’s texture.
Enriched with a 0.2% concentration of the anti-ageing powerhouse retinol, which is a derivative of vitamin A, the lightweight serum delivers visible plumping and firming effects to your skin. Another key antioxidant ingredient, squalane, protects against UV damage and helps to minimise the risk of sun-induced age spots, leaving you with a more even-looking skin tone.

- Application: Apply a small amount to the face as part of your evening skincare regimen. Do not use with other retinoid treatments. Avoid unprotected solar exposure. Store in a cool, dry place.
- Please note: Retinoids can make the skin more sensitive to UV radiation. Sun protection is particularly important when using retinoids. This product must not be used in conjunction with other retinoids including retinol or retinoic acid. This product is not a treatment for acne. Acne-prone skin may experience a temporary increase in acne during the first few weeks of using any form of retinoid including those used in this formulation.

Bought this for my mum as she's been conscious of a small dark circle (age spot) and have since began using it myself to hydrate and reduce my pores. Will always be a favourite

Perfect for first time retinol user!
I'm 26 and wanted to startbuilding a tolerance to retinol, so opted for the lowest % in the ordinary serum range. Used it twice a week for a couple weeks with some dryness but after that its been easily incorporated into my skincare routine now that my skin is used to it and doesnt react. Great for first time users :)

Great for first time retinol
26F - i was looking for my first retinol serum to use daily and this is the lowest % i could find (only other one I would trust to use as a first timer is the Khiels one). As expected it dried my skin out on the first couple of uses but nothing a heavy moisturiser couldn't fix. I started using 1-2 drops twice a week and press gently into my face, and increased the frequency to every other day after 1-2 weeks because the dryness reduced. I'll increase to the 0.5% at some point, but for now this product has been great to get started on!

Retinol Serum
I love this product! I’ve been using it for about 3 weeks now and I typically have somewhat sensitive skin and I tend to break out a lot, but this product has been wonderful. It hasn’t irritated my skin or anything like that. It’s actually helped keep my skin balanced and healthier looking. It had even helped with the redness!
