Solia SuperHot 1" Curling Iron (25mm)

I've been experimenting with a few curling irons and wands since I chopped my long hair into a medium length 'lob'. I found a tapered barrel wand too untidy, a 1 1/2 too large to for the ideal look (but great for body). Then I noticed the size barrel I was looking for at a great price point, and although I was considering a wand style curler, I thought I'd try the solia out.

It's a dream curling iron. I use it like a wand, but as I reach the tips of my hair, gently lift the clip and tuck the the ends under it so I don't have to hold both arms in the air, with my fingertips ridiculously close to the heat source. It is everything I could hope for (minus a nice carrying case ;). Slick and well built, it gave me the quickest curl job ever, held till the next wash (3 days), and my hair felt smooth, soft with a glamorous bounce. My fine but a lot of it straight and what I thought was hard to hold a curl hair only required the heat at 330. Love it.

FINALLY, a great curling iron that I can actually afford!! Heats up fast, and is so easy to use. I love how my curls stay all day long after using this.

I needed a new curling iron but I didn't want to spend more than $100 so I was pumped when I saw that Solia launched a curling iron for only $75. My hair is basically a lob/medium length and this 1" barrel size is perfect for it. I think the bigger one would be good for the "hair bend" type of look - but my hair is straight so I prefer getting a little bit tighter curl at first and then brushing through those.

The best thing is the barrel glides through your hair and actually de-frizzes it. And the curls hold! OMG. I woke up the next morning and my curls were still in tact. You could just add a little texturizing spray and wake up and go the next morning.

The clip might seem intimidating to some, but it's made in a way where your hair can glide through so it's not clamped down too hard - so you don't get that stupid looking crease.

Totally worth it and price point is right!
