I'm not kidding. This is the best hair dryer I've ever used. My hair is super processed, but the first time I used it, I look like I JUST left the salon. Ignore the negative reviews--they're definitely not using it correctly if they don't love itReport this review
I had the older version of this dryer for many years and it always did a great job.. I have to say that they have improved upon their older design. The handle is slightly curved and fits nicely in your hand. The dryer has rubber on the sides so it won't slide on your countertop. The back end easily screws off so you can clean the filter. This piece would sometimes fall off on my older version but it is designed differently now and very secure on this newer model, which is the reason I replaced my older model. The buttons are located in a spot were you don't accidentally hit them when you're using the dryer. I love the size of this dryer. It's a full size dryer but the nozzle is shorter than most and it fits nicely in the drawer of my bathroom vanity. It's powerful and has a switch to turn the ion feature on and off. When I want the extra volume (the ionic drying tends to flatten hair) I just flip the switch and I get volume. This dries hair fast without being too hot on my hair and scalp. This dryer has a long cord. I love that this dryer cuts my drying time in half but is great for my hair. It is well worth the price.Report this review
I have owned several Sedu dryers for our family over the years and I and have always loved them in the past despite the fan guard popping off of two dryers after years of use. My husband was always able to fix them. My daughter's dryer quit working and I ordered an new Sedu Gunmetal 4000i to replace. Sedu has changed the fan guard and it its no longer covered by wire mesh. The dryer is sucking our hair into the fan resulting in having to cut off pieces of hair to get the hair loose from dryer. So disappointing!!!! I will be returning and purchasing another brand.Report this review
I'm not to crazy about my blow dryer 4000i it's a little to heavy to blow dry long hair, does not dry fast enough not sure how to use the ion.Report this review
This company needs to let you know, up front, you cannot use the narrow nozzle with the dryer on full speed. What's the point if you need a hot setting and directed air to allow your hair to dry straight. Now I dry it and have to use a flat iron to smooth it out.
Very expensive mistake.
I was very excited to splurge on this high-end hairdryer and couldn't wait to try it. Almost immediately I was disappointed. I read that the Sedu will dry in less time than other hairdryers, will deliver sleek and professional results, and is lightweight. None of this was true compared to my current hair dryer! With this Sedu dryer on the highest heat setting, at the highest output, with ionic action turned on, it took a loooong time to dry my hair. The blower is very powerful, which was a drawback for me - it was hard to control my hair with a brush because the thing is so windy! My hair turned out frizzy and messy - the very opposite of sleek and professional. I finished my drying with my old reliable Remington. I've been a loyal fan of Remington brand hair dryers for years, and will stick with them. This Sedu didn't perform anywhere close to as wonderfully. Disappointed, but at least I learned I don't have to spend more than quadruple the price for a great hair dryer.Report this review
I it the best hair dryer that I usedReport this review
With 900+ reviews and such hype from the Folica website, I was excited to try this hairdryer. This hairdryer unfortunately did not live up to its hype. I have thick, wavy black hair and this hairdryer did not at all shorten the drying time. Also, as some others have mentioned, this hair dryer does not get as hot as I would have expected. The weight is on the heavy side too. When the nozzle is on, it has so much power that my hair gets blown around and becomes difficult to manage. When the ionic setting is on, it does make my hair smooth but it also makes it look flat, no volume. I tried to like this product, I really did. In the end, I decided that it wasn't worth the money to keep it, hence I am returning it.Report this review
I LOVE my Sedu flat iron and curling iron, so I thought I would love this hair dryer. But I'd be lying if I said I did. Maybe I set my expectations too high from all the reviews, or maybe I got a lemon, but this dryer doesn't cut my drying time significantly when compared to my $20 Conair dryer. The ionic setting definitely does work and leaves my hair less frizzy, but I often don't use it because it makes my hair lack the volume I like it to have. I do like the size though - very compact. Not sure whether I'm going to keep it or exchange it for a different dryer, but knowing what I now, I don't think it's worth the price. (Sorry, Sedu! I truly do love your other tools though!)Report this review
Definitely worth the price. I am able to dry my hair beautifully in less 10 minutes and I have a lot of hair. Worth your investment for sure.Report this review
