DECIEM is our truly abnormal umbrella of beauty brands. In 2013, we had 1 product, 1 brand, 3 employees and 1,000 advisers who told us we could not do what we wanted to. In 2014, we had 50 employees and our sales reached $50 million with 4 brands and 30 products across 17 markets.

We fired all of our advisers.

In 2016, we've reached 9 operating brands with over 300 products changing the world of beauty. In our Toronto office we have our labs and own manufacturing facility as well as our sales, marketing and design teams. We also have offices in London supporting sales and marketing for Europe and in New York supporting sales and marketing for the US.

Founded in 2013 in Toronto by Brandon Truaxe, DECIEM is a beauty and skincare company famed for being different, authentic, and functional by offering quality products. DECIEM is an umbrella company for beauty brands such as The Ordinary, Hylamide, and NIOD, and it’s regarded as the most exciting thing to happen to skincare today. For a long time, Brandon wanted to create a brand that was transparent, passionate, and insightful during the product development process. So, he decided to make a change by launching DECIEM to create a better world for beauty. DECIEM focuses on advanced functional beauty by creating products that offer visible results.

DECIEM’s most popular and well-known beauty brand is The Ordinary, an innovative collection of treatments that offer familiar, effective clinical technologies with integrity. The Ordinary offers a wide range of skincare, makeup, and hair products, from serums and oils to concealers and foundation, which are affordable and address numerous skin concerns.

NIOD is designed to promote overall skin health by pushing the limits of science in skincare while Hylamide promotes optimum skin performance by bringing a mindful approach to skincare.
