Fashion Week in NYC is around the corner, and our team of beauty mavens and fashionistas are excited to see what’s on the runway and how to make a show-stopping outfit. Here are a few of the fall beauty trends our team has spotted in editorials and videos that’ll have you looking fabulous from head to toe!

Fall Beauty Trends for 2021

Hair: Texture, Curls, And Luxe Color

With more time spent at home now than ever, it has led many of us to embrace our hair’s texture, and we’re not done with the trend yet. When it comes to the natural look, healthy hair is in and many runway models are paying homage to the 70s with grown-out fringe, bobs, natural hair and perfectly tousled tresses.

Get the look with some of our favorite haircare heroes featuring hair masks, curl creams, and texture sprays. If your hair is dyed, skip the salon for a shade variation mask, a hair treatment that redeposits color in the hair and removes brassy tones without staining or bleach! One of our editors uses it to keep her blonde golden before her next keratin treatment. A grown-out, semi-ombre color is very, very in.

Skin + Makeup:

Fresh Skin, Eye-Catching Liner, Classic Bold Lip

Speaking of embracing: natural, dewy-looking skin is still dominating Instagram. But eye-focused makeup is having a revival for the fall along with a timeless classic, bold lip color.

Keep an eye out for graphic, non-traditional liner styles and designs with full lashes to bat away negativity, and fun liner colors to try after so many months behind a face covering.

And for a simpler, but on-trend no-makeup makeup look, the kitten eye is climbing up the ranks as the cat eye’s more subtle, easier to master sister.

Lastly, bold lip color is back with a vengeance. This statement look of just rocking kissable, noticeable lips is perfect to try with luscious reds, sultry nudes, and a few new shades.

Nails: Funky and Vampy Classics

These nail art trends will take you to funky town with bold colors, stickers, and pastels influenced by the Y2K trend. A two-toned artist-inspired french mani, or a solid pedi with stars, hearts and stones, can really tie in your look.

As the temperature drops, bolder colors like orange will reign, making our hands the pumpkin spice ‘it’ item in our selfies and reels. As a sea-salt caramel mocha lover myself, I look forward to the spookier, richer deep shades that’ll ramp up the vamp look for this holiday season. Expect some luxurious browns, mauves and shades of plum going into the winter.
